Instructions for Use Base Ten Blocks allows your child to model decimal operations. To use Base Ten Blocks, click the place value backdrop to allow your child to work with decimal numbers. In this case, the red block represents a 1, the blue one a tenth of that or 0.1, and the green one represents a hundredth or 0.01. Click on a block and drag it into the workspace. Select a block by clicking on it. Once selected, the block can be moved to any location on the workspace. Click on the tools on the top panel to select and drag, rotate, lasso blocks to group them, break larger blocks to form the next size down, or glue smaller blocks to form the next size up. To remove a block, drag it to the recycling bin.
