Lesson 3 - Patterns in T-Charts
To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about using Patterns in T-Charts, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs. Builds UponStudent Book pages 8-9 Instructions for UseFunction Machine (extension) allows students to fill in the remaining numbers on a chart, once the function machine has spit out its number pattern. Introduce the idea of using negative integers in number patterns. To use Function Machine, drag and drop the four blue numbers, one-at-a-time, into the function machine. The function machine automatically spits out a number pattern into a chart. Students then fill in the blanks, and hit "Enter" to solve the rest of the pattern.
