Instructions for Use

Space Age (extension) is an interactive program that calculates a student's age in days and years on other planets. Students can fill in blank prompts to find out when their next birthday will be on other planets.

To use Space Age, students enter the month, date and year of their birth. Click on the "Calculate" button. The age of the student on another world will automatically appear in days and years. As well, the date of the student's next birthday on each world is also given. The date given is an "Earth date".

Heart Beat is a problem-solving activity that can be shown on a chart.

To use Heart Beat, students read and attempt to solve the questions. Click on "Hint" or "Get Started" for additional assistance. Step-by-step answers to the questions are obtained by clicking on the "Answer" link at the bottom of the Web page. Additional questions are available by clicking on the "Try These" link at the bottom of the page.
