Lesson 6 - Multiple Number Patterns

 

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Multiple Number Patterns, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs. � After having some time to experiment have the students record the algorithms and a description of the pattern it creates on the hundreds chart. For students who need reinforcement these patterns can be duplicated on a hundreds chart at their desks using on the algorithm and description they recorded.

Instructions for Use

Number Patterns allows students to interactively create many numerical patterns.

To use the interactive calculator, start by pressing any number. This number will appear in the window. Press the + button on the calculator, the number selected becomes shaded on the hundreds board. Press the some number again and then the � = button on the calculator. Keep pressing the = button to show a numerical pattern. Try making different patterns with division, multiplication, subtraction or a combination.
