Instructions for UseNumberlines lets students investigate number sequencing and patterns of decimal tenths. To make a preset decimal tenths numberline, click '0.1s' under the heading 'Create a Line'. To make a specific numberline, input decimal values in the 'Start Number' and 'Increment Number' text field and click the 'Go' button. Drag colour boxes to hide or reveal numbers in the sequence.
Decimal Model prompts students to model decimals using a variety of shapes. To use Decimal Model, click on the pull-down menu to choose a shape. Drag the sliders to change the value of the decimal. Changing the slider corresponds to changes in the model. Compare the decimal values to the fraction, and percent given.
Fun Scales lets students practice using decimal tenths. To use Fun Scales, click on the green arrows to move the red pointer to the correct position. Press the 'Click to Check' button the see if the answer is correct. To move to the next question, click the refresh button to refresh the screen.
