Patterns, here are some games and interactive
activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use
Quiltmaker is an interactive program that allows students to design a quilt
by repeating, rotating, and reflecting the same pattern.
To
use Quiltmaker, click on the 'Editor' button and click on shapes in the
Quiltmaker workspace. Change the colour by clicking on the colour palettes.
Click the 'Rotate', 'Reflect' or 'Repeat' buttons to extend the pattern
in the quilt. Click the 'Erase' to start over. Click 'Index' to show different
patterns.
Borderliner is an interactive program that allows students to design a border
by repeating the same pattern. Colour, point size, and symmetry can all
be changed.
To
use Borderliner, click on the symmetry selections at the bottom of the
palette. Select the colour on the right-hand side, and the point size
on the left-hand side. Move the cursor inside the palette to start the
border design. Select another point size or colour. Move the cursor inside
the palette and develop the border pattern. Make new designs using different
colours, point sizes, and symmetry selections.
